JULY 2009
Exams and Activities Week are now over and there are just a few days left to the end of term.
Activities Week was as hectic as ever and students had a very different week from normal. A big
’thank you’ to all those staff who voluntarily organised activities and to the students
who co-
and entered into the spirit of the week.
Following a serious flood in the Library Block some rooms and part of the Library have been out of
action. As well as a new roof and ceilings the block will now be redecorated and will be back in use
in September.
This summer there is little staff turnover. Mr Richards, our part time Construction instructor is
leaving to take up a full time post and we once again bid farewell to Mr Lane, who will no doubt be
back on supply again before too long! Mrs Barry did not think my suggestion that she kept on
working was a good idea and is joining me in retirement. The Library will be taken over by Mrs Bowen and Mrs Mosler.
